Woodland Management

We work with a range of land and property owners developing woodland management plans. We have particular interest and experience in the management of native woodland for nature conservation and amenity.

Our Woodland Management Plans are specifically focused on the individual land owners objectives.  The management plan will be guided by the principles of the UK Forestry Standard, with a detailed plan of operations provided to achieve the long-term aims.

We provide management plans for designated woodland such as Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), woodland within Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) or protected under Tree Preservation Order legislation.  When drawing up a Woodland Management Plan we liase with the relevant statutory and non-statutory bodies to ensure all aspects of management are considered and agreed .  Paving the way for Forestry Commission approval of the management plan and facilitating woodland grant and felling licence applications.

Estate management programmes

Typically taking the form of a fixed term contract, this programme places your woodland under our day to day management, providing annual safety inspections, prioritised work programmes and contract management. Ideal for larger woodland owners who have a large amount of woodland to care for, but limited resources or time to do so. This service may also include an on-call appointment dealing with all tree related enquiries.
